Where to start ?
« on: November 26, 2017, 05:20:36 pm »
Hi all,

I wonder how you guys started working on crypto project ?
What languages do you need to know to understand the project ?
What concepts are required for this ?

I'm a young C developer, but have not that much experience. I know a little of linux, bash, cpp.
But I have no experience in participating in a project like that and where should I start to learn what's needed for it.
I'd like to know how to understand the code behind this project and figure out if/how I can help with my little knowledge.
I have any knowledge in the web dev and network protocol, so I'm not sure I could be helpful, but who knows... With some help I can learn.

Anything good to know, to read, to learn would be great.

Thank you, and keep going on this !!

Heya niktou,

C, C++ and Python are nearly a must if you want to get involved in crypto. ANY language can be used, but many of the concepts/rules of blockchain and crypto are only spelled out in the code that is presently being used. And most of the history of crypto code is in these three languages.

What area of crypto do you have the most interest in?

The decentralized and anonymity parts of the crypto are what makes me first look into bitcoin.
Plus the huge quantity of project proves me that this is a technology we have to understand.

Using crypto is something, understand what's going on when using it is another.
I'm curious and I would like to understand what I use (or will in a future, because I believe that blockchain technology will continue to grow)
Also that could help me improve my coding skills and participate in the project.
I would say that the coding part is right now the part that I want to dig in.

And I'm not a trader ^^

Hope it answer the question.
