The wallet has been put into maintenance due to a network fork.

Our Admin team needs to investigate this further to see if they can resolve it. You can check the status of SXC for when it goes back online on our coin info page here -

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause.

Thanks, Cryptopia Support.

Yeah, I've been watching that.

I've been watching the network for signs of a fork from other clients, but have not seen any.
Right now we just need to wait on Cryptopia to do their thing, and check your own transactions against the block explorer to make sure you are on the correct chain.

The Cryptopia crew is very good, so I'm just waiting it out. I let them know they could ask anything they wanted from us, if it would help.

we went through the roof on through put this week, at times 1.2GHs.  My blades are 10% of the network most of the time like today @254MHs

I was afraid someone was playing games this week.

I'm almost certain someone was. Its one of the challenges for coins that don't have a lot of mining support.
Most of the time, when the network hashrate spikes, its because the mining profitablity goes high and multipools suddenly switch everything they have onto sexcoin. This was one if the reasons KGW was implemented. Long ago, before KGW, it would bring transactions to a stand-still because the difficulty would be driven into outer space and then the multipools would pull hashrate off the network, leaving only small miners to contend with high difficulty.

They got it cleared up finally.  I've moved from solo mining sxc to be part of the problem; prohashing for the short interim due to the pricing going nuts.

I don't fault the multi-pools. From a miners POV, its a can be a great thing. I know, because I mine also. The fact is that they don't have much of an effect on coins that have heavy mining support, and they can be very nimble which maximizes the return you get on the electricity you're spending and the investment you've made in equipment. My real belief is that its on the coin dev to protect against this. Also, I'd rather have the problem of multi-pools switching in than the problem of the block-chain going cold.

Finding reasonable hash at Mining Rig Rentals can be tricky sometimes - have just organised 10MH/s (you should be able to work out which miner is me  8) )

I can't find where the global hash rate is listed??

If you mean the entire sexcoin network, its not displayed on my pool. Its one of the reasons I put the stat up in the block explorer.

I really like that pool software because its easy to put up out of the box, very low maintenance as far as pools go, and payouts are FAIR from the jump.
But it is a real PITA to change anything around. That's the main reason its so low on features.

All good - was wondering how my rented 10MH/s stands up Vs the rest, can the system cope with a day or two of GH/s ??

Someone threw a 10GH/s miner on it a couple of days ago and my pool didn't twitch at all.

Pound her hard!

One thing though, we need to NOT gobble up more than 60% of the network hashrate because of the switchover code. When 90% of the last 100 blocks are from the new release, old miners get rejected out of hand. So, we need to give other pools the time they need. Probably a couple of more days. I know one big pool has run into a problem that we are trying to work through.
